Continue down towards Khorfakkan to see the spectacular Khorfakkan Waterfall.

The waterfall is a modern man-made attraction carved into the natural rock beside the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre. Sharjah tourism describes the waterfall as approximately 45 metres high, with viewing areas overlooking the water and Khorfakkan Bay.

This is an excellent photography stop where mountains, architecture, waterfall and coastline come together.

Visit the impressive Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, an architectural landmark overlooking Khorfakkan Beach.

The amphitheatre combines Roman-inspired architectural elements with Islamic design influences and was developed as a venue for cultural performances and events.

Travel back into the mountains to Al Rafisah Dam, one of the most scenic natural and recreational attractions in the Khorfakkan region.

The Nahwa enclave belongs to Sharjah and is surrounded by the Omani territory of Madha; Madha itself is surrounded by the UAE. This makes Nahwa a rare example of a counter-enclave, sometimes described as a “double enclave.”

A geographical curiosity

Rather than describing this simply as “crossing a border,” the experience is better understood as visiting a UAE enclave located within Omani territory.

Border formalities and access conditions can vary, so the tour follows the permitted sightseeing route and does not includes entry into Oman.

After completing the East Coast sightseeing route, relax in your private air-conditioned vehicle as you travel back towards Dubai or Sharjah.

Approx. arrival: 5-7PM depending on traffic, pickup location and time spent at attractions.

Your driver will drop you back at your hotel or residence.

Kayaking is not included in the standard tour price unless specifically selected as an add-on. Al Rafisah Dam offers kayaking, pedal boats and other water-based recreational activities. Guests who want a more adventurous itinerary can request a Khorfakkan sightseeing + kayaking option

Lunch isn’t included in this tour package. Guests can stop at a restaurant for a lunch at their own expense, meals/food isn’t included in any package.

Yes. The tour is designed around private transportation in a 4×4 SUV for 2-6people/car, allowing your group to travel together without joining a large sightseeing coach. Private touring also makes it easier to spend additional time at locations that interest your group, subject to the day’s schedule.

The cooler months from approximately October to April are generally more comfortable for outdoor sightseeing, photography and mountain walks. The tour can operate year-round, but summer temperatures can be high, particularly during outdoor stops.

Allow approximately 8-10 hours, depending on your pickup location, traffic, sightseeing duration and time spent at individual attractions.

October to April is ideal. Temperatures stay between 18°C and 28°C. Tours depart at 7:00 AM year-round to start before the heat builds up.

No. Kayaking at Hatta Dam is an optional paid activity. You pay at the rental station on the day. Life jackets are provided. 

No. This tour does not sell or promise entry into Oman. The Madha/Nahwa area is visited for its geography and scenery where permitted.
